This will ensure the partitioning and Windows loader in EFI partition are set correctly and don't overwrite any Apple stuff in the shared EFI partition. Yeah, I was about to say - My boot camp partition mounts just like any other drive on my mac. Create something in windows, and it is immediately available to my mac - don't even need to copy it. Not that I've used it in quite a while.

I love DropBox, but I wouldn't call it the easiest way to transfer something between partitions of your own computer. It assumes you have the bandwidth and connectivity to pull off large file transfers rapidly, something we can't assume about many use cases. Using MacFuse to mount an NTFS BootCamp partition is easier in the long run.
I find i need to very occationally restart the client on the mac, but overall it means I can get my files no matter what OS I amon and even if i'm away from my Mac or PC.
Having just had a quick look at Dropbox i have to agree. I just had come across Mesh first.
Looks like (from the web page - I didn't actually try the product) Mesh has some desirable features like being able to sync any folder you want, not just one dropbox folder on your drive, but I accomplish this in Dropbox (on the Mac) by creating symbolic links that point to folders on my Dropbox (ex. if I have a web page in a folder on Dropbox and I create a symlink in my ~/Sites/ folder, then I can serve the webpage from my Mac and still have it sync over Dropbox.) Dunno if either one is necessarily better but sounds like Dropbox may be more bug free (at least on the Mac) as I never have to restart it or even touch the program itself.
Why not just use ( as I do ) Apple's iDisk to transfer anything back and forth between OSX and Windows !!!???
Mostly because iDisk costs money. DropBox does not.
I just drop stuff in /Users/Shared.

Snow Leopard has native NTFS read-write support, without MacFuse. It's disabled by default, but I enabled it a while ago. Google is your friend for finding the terminal commands.

There are plenty of features that are not enabled by default, and by no means does that mean that Apple released them unstable.
Especially with protocols, the implementation is very well defined. It's binary; it either works or it doesn't. In this case, it does.
The protocol may be well-defined, but that says nothing about the implementation being complete. There are many edge cases to be considered and tested. The essential feature set may work well now, but who knows what might happen if you transfer files with unusual file sizes, types of metadata, or file names? It's certainly not binary.
History (your experience) does not disprove potential. NTFS support in Mac OS X is potentially unstable, and everkleer80 is absolutely right in saying 'this may not be 100% safe'.
Suggesting the option is fine, but I think including such a disclaimer is necessary. It's disabled for a reason (whether for unresolved bugs or licensing issues or whatnot) and other users may not understand or may not be willing to take the same risk as you.
I'm not saying I wouldn't use it, I'm just saying it's probably not supported (I'm sorry for the comment if it is) - sorta like the disabled feature of using TimeMachine with 'unsupported' drives - and so I wouldn't rely on it for storing my only copy of sensitive data. (I think I have been burned before by copying a file to another drive then deleting it off the original, only to find out that the copy somehow got corrupted - although this was a long time ago and wasn't even on a Mac.)

A simple solution to copy OS-X to/from Windows is to have a separate FAT32 partition that is read/write enabled for both systems. Files can be freely shared and there is no possibility of mucking up your NTFS partition used by BootCamp.

Are you for some reason unable to see your Boot Camp partition from OS X? If so, check if it's in disk utility and just didn't mount for some reason. You should always be able to see your Boot Camp partition in OS X (although it may be read only depending on the file system and the active drivers) and I think THAT is the easiest way to copy from Windows to OS X. And I haven't used Boot Camp since upgrading to Snow Leopard, but supposedly your Mac OS X partition will now mount read-only in Boot Camp now for copying the other way.

If you formatted your Boot Camp partition as FAT32 instead of NTFS, you can already read and write to it in Finder, just like any other volume. You don't even need to move the files: just work with them in place.
Even if you formatted your Boot Camp partition as NTFS, Finder can read your Boot Camp partition directly, as noted by others above. To move a Windows file to your Mac partition, just open your Boot Camp partition in Finder, navigate to the file you want, and copy it to the desired destination.
There is no need for third party internet based file syncing tools like DropBox to do this sort of thing.

Granted, you shouldn't exactly be putting bank statements there, but just use common sense, the same way you shouldn't put anything in an email you wouldn't put on a billboard.
